Updated Review: I scheduled an appointment a week after my hair was done to get my eyebrows done. Eye brows arent done here. There was no set up for it. It was a chaotic appointment, where I was told to come back after I was called to return to get my eyebrows done but I never received a call back. I removed a star from my rating because of this.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Today was our first time at this Salon. We literally looked for a black owned hair salon that serviced children. This was the first result so we called to make an appointment. We were able to get scheduled with hair stylist Tinee the same day. Tinee is the most warmest, bubbly and knowledgeable hairstylist that services children! Not to mention the salon looked so glamorous! It was like we were walking into a fairy tale and this is where princess and queens come to be transformed for the royal ball! They have tables in the front of the salon for eating or waiting. The owner truly out did herself with how she decorated, all the services she provided customers and the classes she teaches students at her hair academy. Every staff member in this business is very welcoming. We spent the whole day here due to other customers getting seen while we waited to get our hair finished! Our appointment were at 12:30 and 1:30 pm but we werent finished until after closing close to 9:00 pm. Thank you so much for the beautiful style for my daughter( wash, deep condition, trim, blowout, braids with beads) and my hair ( wash, deep condition, trim, blowout, silk press, curls).

I took my daughter to this salon to get her extremely thick natural hair washed, conditioned, trimmed, and flat ironed. Let me begin by first stating that this salon does not disappoint 🙌!My son and I waited in the lobby/waiting area while my daughter was getting her hair done and the atmosphere was pleasant and poppin! The music was errrthang and the receptionist, Ms. Linda, is AMAZING! I really wish I could clone her and hire her clone to be my Executive Assistant.My daughters new haircare professional, Ms. Sparkle, wears her beautiful natural hair and was very familiar with how to properly care for my daughters hair. My daughter loves Ms. Sparkle and is looking forward to getting her hair done bi-weekly again!!!I also noticed that the other stylists are Baddies at their crafts too.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HAIR IN MOTION of NY SALON HIMONY SALON...theyll get your haircare done right!

I was a first time customer here a few weeks ago and got a keratin treatment by Kathy. She was great! I have long/thick curly hair and knew that since I would take more product, I would need to pay more than the base price of the service. Kathy sat me down before the appointment and worked out what the total would be and was very transparent. It was great going in knowing what I would pay, and the price was reasonable. The keratin treatment itself has held up great! I got it almost 3 weeks ago and Kathy did an amazing job. My hair still has curls, but the frizz was reduced a LOT. Now, it dries without becoming super poofy, and if I do straighten it, it takes about 1/3 of the time and can last for days. I will be returning to Kathy in a few months to get the same service!

I had a very good experience at Hair Motion Salon. Kathy was very kind, she told me everything about the keratin treatment. Usually when the hair stylist applies the keratin treatment on my hair, my scalp starts to burn and gets really itchy but not with the product Kathy applied on my hair. She washed my hair first, applied the keratin all over my hair then blowed my hair. It was super fast. If you’re looking for salon that does keratin treatments, this is the right one. Very affordable, and very good salon 👍

My daughter (take a look at the pictures) has the most beautiful natural thickest hair Ive ever seen (well it certainly competes with Lady O)! It has been very challenging to find a salon and haircare specialist that knows and understands how to properly care for a girls hair.Well the ambiance was on point, the customer service was phenomenal, the experience was 2nd to none. If you are looking for a great haircut, look no further. Ask for Cory, he’s new to the Hair in Motion Salon, but obviously a Master Barber with a lot of experience. He’ll give you that great haircut you want, even if you don’t know what that is yet. If you go to him once, you’ll want to keep coming back for more of those sweet cuts! I’m confident you’ll leave a very satisfied customer, just like me. I’m lucky I found him, and I’m looking better for it.

I was so impressed by my experience here. The staff was very friendly and the prices were very affordable. The place was clean and looked very elegant. My hairstylist was Athalie. My hair was very dry and not well taken care of before going to the salon but she gave me a special treatment and the hair looked amazing after. She was very friendly and took her time to make sure all my layers looked even. Cinnamon provided great commentary and the atmosphere was very positive and the overall experience was great. Will definitely return.

I recently moved into the area and did not have a new hairdresser. I needed a keratin and a haircut. I made an appt with Kathy. I was so relieved that she was familiar with my curly frizzy hair and the products that I was using. She took her time to sit with me and give me a hair consultation which in all of my life I dont ever remember a new hair stylist doing that for me ever. She went over what to expect to keep my hair as healthy as possible and what were the best products to use. I was very impressed before my appt and after,s made me feel so comfortable. I left the salon feeling so great about myself and my hair looked awesome. Im so happy I found her and so happy I found a new hairdresser to make me feel so beautiful. I must say, FINALLY! I have battled constantly with finding a salon and stylist that I could really trust with my hair, I really dont trust easy when it comes to my hair. I moved to Orlando almost two years ago and have been trying different salon since I moved here. I have relaxed hair and Im very particular about it. I happened to Google salons near me and found this place. I got randomly booked with Nancy and let me say, Im sooooo happy with that random pairing. She is amazing, so knowledgeable. When I first sat in her chair I told her I had a ton of questions before we started. Shes was very patient and funny. I think Ive found my salon and stylist, I can finally check that off the list. I recommended my sister to her, she has natural hair and she loves her as well!

Came in for a Groupon Keratin treatment about 4 months ago. Kathy did my Keratin and semi-permanent color. She did such a fantastic job that I have become a loyal satisfied customer ever since. I have to look good for my public facing job at all times so Kathy does my color every 2 weeks. She is passionate about her work and cares about you having healthy hair. Wow, I had an amazing experience at hair in motion! I went in for braids which usually is a timely process but I was in and out in two hours flat, no issues! Alexis my hair stylist was so great& my hair came out on point! The owner was such a beautiful soulthat invited me in and it madd my time there that much more enjoyable! The only issue I had was with the receptionist and her lack of professionalism when I came in other than that, i will be heading back!

Really great atmosphere great work done the only thing was I had an appointment and my hairdresser was multitasking with my hair and someone elses when I have an appointment I want everything prompt and I would prefer for my hair to be done under my appointment time and not have to wait for someone else otherwise there is no point of an appointment. Other than that everything was superb this doesnt happen often just this hairdresser in particular. I would return again they do great quality hair

I was in town visiting from Atlanta Georgia and found this fantastic place online. The hair stylist Ibo did a phenomenal job with my hair style. Very professional and personable. I would give this place 5 stars if it was not for the other stylist next to Ibo to speak negatively about Ibo skill level. This should not have been said in the presence of clients or at all. Don’t think this person should be there as each stylist should be uplifting to one another in a positive manner.

Everyone was very friendly and welcoming! The massage during the shampoo was also wonderful! My appointment was at 1 and I was done at 330!!! That was great timing especially for a Friday afternoon. I got a deal for a keratin treatment with Kathy on Groupon for $75. Once I called to schedule my appointment they charged me another $25 for the conditioner, which is fine I dont really care about that. I have slightly loose to tight curl pattern so I wanted to relax them and make my daily upkeep less stressful. I was also tired of waking up looking like a troll. Kathey claimed that this treatment should last 3 months....yah no. I sat through the 4 hour process on the 11th of July and its now the 30th and my hair looks the same as it did when I walked in. Kathy was also really pushy about her tip and basically demanded I download Cashapp so I could send it to her. Overall, it was an $110 experience that wasnt worth it in the end.Edit: I went in today and met with the owner after she saw that I wasnt 100% satisfied. She was very friendly and gave me exactly what I wanted the first time around free of charge. 😊😊

This review is going to be lengthy. This salon is awesome!!!! From the time I walked in I was awed by how lush it is on the inside. I am still new to the Orlando area but I think I have found my new spot. I was warmly greeted by the assistant manager, I think her name is Shaz. She was super friendly and made me feel right at home. But, the star of this review is Saida. I have never had a haircut that was so precise & on point. She takes time to walk you through exactly what shes going to do. I have to travel thirty minutes to get to Hair in Motion but it was definitely worth it. If your on the fence about Saida or Hair in Motion trust me you wont be disappointment and your hair will love you for it. Saida you rock girl!!!!!

Former nail tech and stylist...SUPER picky. I came in and MiMi did my one inch + long nails to perfection. Now, what made my day...My afro was tired and dry. The owner, Lesline, walked in looking FABULOUS. I begged her to help me, I was going to DC the next day, and I had no clue what I wanted. Lesline took her time and did a clipper cut, followed with shears, did a high lift and color service. I have never gotten more compliments from so many different types of people, and my hair still has its integrity following the high lift service. I will not go ANYWHERE else for my hair and nails.
