I came to this salon with my hair done completely wrong the day before by another stylist. Ashley Marie was such a sweetheart and a complete saving grace when it came to fixing my hair and making it look and feel even better than before. I left this salon with a fantastic experience because of Kelly and Ashley Marie and will definitely be coming back to continue getting my hair done by her! Customer service was incredible and i really enjoyed the time spent, thank you!

While my first experience wasnt a great one, Kelly set me up with a different stylist and Im really glad I gave them another shot (I usually dont). I booked a last minute appointment with Lola and it ended up being one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had! She knew exactly what I was asking for and knew exactly what would and wouldn’t work well with my hair. I was in love with the end result! I went in for a quick style for an important event and could not have been more pleased. After reading the bios on their site I picked a stylist named Kat and I am so glad I did. I’ve been looking for a new hair salon since moving to Florida 5 years ago and hadn’t been able to find someone that absolutely wowed me until now. Vanessa and I had a free consultation to discuss my hair needs and to put a plan together then she got me scheduled a week later for my appointment. I’ve got to say she delivered everything she promised and then some. Not only was she talented and professional, she was very personable. She didn’t have 1-3 clients coming in while my hair was being over processed and neglected, she stayed close by monitoring my hair every minute. The result was absolutely beautiful and I cannot be more pleased!! I haven’t been able to confidently say that for many years and I’m excited that I have someone I’ll be happy to go to from here on!! Thank you Vanessa for restoring my confidence in the hair industry and in myself!!

Yesterday, I had an appointment with Lola for a haircut, shampoo and conditioner, and styling. I don’t really have a set choice when it comes to a hairstyle and I’ve never really explored options (more often than not I just get a straight cut and I’m good to go). When Lola and I were talking about what to do she was immensely helpful in terms of figuring out a style that would work for me and would frame my face. She also was very supportive with figuring out the length I wanted and what I truly wanted out of this haircut. I couldnt recommend her enough because not only is she a great hairstylist but she listens, understands, and reassures you as the customer/ hair client.Tl;dr - Lola is an amazing stylist and you should book with her when you get the chance.

I can’t express enough how much I love this salon. Lauren B is amazing! I went in for a consult because I needed a bad haircut corrected along with coloring. Lauren took the time to explain to me my options for correcting my botched haircut. I also showed her a picture of the color I was looking to achieve, and we chatted about my options. Both the haircut and hair coloring that she did were well beyond my expectations. I absolutely love the results. I definitely recommend this salon.

I am a first time customer at southern obsession. Everyone there is absolutely so welcoming and friendly.Vanessa worked on my balayage and haircut. I have Asian hair with previous caramel colored highlights and red dye but she was able to get my hair as close to my goal (ash/silver blonde) as possible. The color melted and blended so nicely!I want to say that it was a wonderful experience! My hair was a challenge to work on and Vanessa, Lauren, Whitney and Sarah collaborated to find the right shades and tones to make my hair the way it is. I am completely more than satisfied with the result.Lastly there was a heavy rainstorm that started after we finished. Vanessa went above and beyond to get me an umbrella just so my hair wouldn’t get wet getting to my car.I appreciate the staff- They are all professional. Each stylist/barber has their own bio and credentials posted, which made it really simple to choose the stylist for my first visit. Aubrey seemed to be the best fit for me (five years at this location) and I was super happy with the outcome. I love this place! Everyone is so friendly and I always feel so welcome. My stylist Whitney is the absolute best! We always have the best conversations, it’s like talking to a sister. She is incredibly talented. I know it can be hard when dealing with my luscious locks but she really knows what she’s doing. Vanessa is absolutely amazing. I came in for a color correction on some pretty stubborn hair. She was very upfront with me during our first visit, mentioning that she would need more time to do what I wanted than our original appointment was scheduled for. I gained a lot of respect for her during that, showing that she cares about her work. I want to be clear that she did not turn me away, she was willing to do it at the original appointment but didn’t think I would have the results needed. So I ended up coming back which was an all day affair. She worked tirelessly for 8 hours straight on my hair, doing everything she felt was necessary and with a lot of attention to detail. She truly cared for my hair, how I wanted it, and talked me through each step throughout the process. I love that she took the time that she did to make sure she did amazing work, which she definitely did. I overheard a lot of the stylists there throughout my 8 hours and they are all genuinely nice, it is a positive environment through the whole process. I highly recommend this salon and all the stylists here, in particular Vanessa. Thank you for taking such good care of my hair!

I booked an appointment for a perm consultation and the lovely hair stylist, Brandie, was more than excited to work on my hair and did the process after our chat. Brandie was very sweet and knowledgeable, explaining the process as she was going about doing it. The receptionist, Holly, was also great. I was greeted with a smile when I walked in and it might not seem like much, but it certainly means a lot. One thing that made me choose this salon over another one is the fact they have pictures of their staff on their website, that way you can see who youre going to be working with. I love this salon and Aubrey D. is my favorite! She is so energetic and willing to explain what she is planning to do. Since she started doing my hair color my friends and family rave about it. Recently, we did a keratin treatment and Im in LOVE. Living in Florida you get used to frizzy hair from the humidity. However, this keratin system has been great! The application process was easy. The shampoo and conditioner are required, but they are worth it. My thick hair has been faster to blow dry and looks great with out much effort. Thank you so much Aubrey!!

EDIT 8/20/20: Aubry and I believe Jennifer, were both extremely sweet in trying to make me feel better when I came in extremely upset after my appointment with Hannah. Both very understanding and knowledgeable about the situation and verifying the cut I received was not what was asked for. Aubry offered and did her best to fix the cut to something manageable and a cut for a few months to correct the issues as it grows, which was going above and beyond what would be expected to rectify a horrible situation. The owner Kelly and receptionist Lauren took the time to sit down with me to talk about what happened and I know felt horrible about the situation.The issue seems to be isolated to the stylist Hannah, who I tried to give the opportunity to make things right, I purposefully originally left her name out of the review, but my feelings on this should not have to hurt the other stylists at the salon. The apology she gave was very forced and was told to me was a miscommunication. As the client, that tells me she blamed me for what happened. Not only was the apology not very good, she took it to her social media to degrade me as a client. This went beyond unprofessional, but also hurtful.I give Aubry and the Salon 5 stars, but give Hannah 0. I will definitely will be back for Aubry as my hair grows and the mistake can further be corrected.8/15/20I went in to cut my hair shorter, with the intention of donating my hair. The minimum requirement for the organization is 8” and asked to have around 8”-10” to donate to still keep the length I wanted for myself. I guess the salon doesn’t have any sort of ruler to check this sort of thing? I’m sure this isn’t an odd request and the salon should have the basic tool (a ruler) to verify the ponytail length for donations. Turns out, I got home measured the pointy tails all but one were 14” long, the one short one from the front was 10” (sectioned into about 6 ponytails) I’m not a hairdresser and would have no idea how much extra length would be need to come off after cutting the ponytails, and she should have communicated this information and put further effort into checking how much she was actually taking off, clearly was way off! It’s also my fault for putting to much trust in assuming they would know the measurements and understand what I was asking for.The stylist cut far more hair off than necessary, also resulting in getting a haircut nowhere near what I asked for. I had shown a photo of what I wanted, a mid length hairstyle about 3-4 inches below my shoulders. I got a haircut of short hair that hardly reaches my shoulder and I can barely get it into a ponytail, and for sure can’t put my hair in a bun anymore.It’s at a length and style for my hair type that I HAVE to style to make look decent, which is really not for me, I prefer low maintenance, partly why I wanted a shorter cut compared to my long hair almost down to to butt.Communication and interpretation was definitely lacking. Unfortunately it’s length related and not something I can have fixed. It will be at least 6 months before it hopefully will get to the length I wanted, but then it’s time for a trim again. I booked based on so many good reviews, but unfortunate the stylist i went to probably isn’t the one being spoken for in most of them, or may be newer. The cut isn’t what I asked for and pretty uneven.EDIT: the cut goes beyond just “not being what I wanted in length” she cut more than HALF A FOOT than requested!

Heather gave me my dream hair!! I have naturally really dark hair, but she was able to get me REALLY blonde without destroying my hairs integrity! Her balayage technique is on point, too. And she was able to get just the right thing of rose gold that was in the picture Id showed her. I WILL be coming back here for all of my hair needs!!! The atmosphere is relaxing and chill, and the decor is super cute.

Nice salon - they accommodated my request to allow me & my daughter to have our hair appointments at the same time. Both our stylists - Jennifer & Travis - were good listeners and took care to cut & style our hair as we described. Jennifer was especially patient with me as I kept saying, shorter, shorter - because I clearly wasnt sure what I wanted when I walked in - or maybe I just change my mind that fast - either way, she was a gem in hair handling.

Great job on my haircut! I wish I could remember who cut my hair. But the salon is beautiful, and in a very convenient location. They gave me an appointment in just a day or two, and my stylist was great. I would trust anyone who works for them. Definitely a nice salon in Winter Garden!

Jennifer is the best cosmologist. Shes fresh and isnt afraid to offer advice and a new look for you. The salon is gorgeous and kept very professionally clean and decorated. Love it.
