    Sunday I made my appointment early in the day for 11:30am and I showed up on time and checked in via iPad. I was seen right away being helped by Crystal. She was very kind, professional and did a fantastic job with my style of hair. I also opted for the 5 min scalp massage (next time Ill do 10 min) The service was exactly what I was expecting and I see no room for improvement. The atmosphere is definitely catered towards men which is no bother to me as I simply just didnt watch the sports on the tv. I am very satisfied with my visit and I will return when its time for my next cut. Potentially just visiting to get a scalp massage to treat myself before then.

    My husband has been getting his hair cut here ever since we moved to Jacksonville. He has had one bad experience but countless great experiences. We were informed the stylist that was the reason for the bad experience is no longer employed there. Highly recommend for a mens haircut!

    Recently had the pleasure of getting a haircut from Kaitlyn. The haircut that exceeded my expectations, but her level of customer service was truly exceptional. Kaitlyns attention to detail and skill in cutting hair is remarkable. She took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and delivered it flawlessly. her friendly and attentive demeanor made me feel comfortable and valued as a customer.     Jenn did an amazing job with my son and my fiance. It was my sons first haircut, hes 3 1/2 and his hair was passed his shoulders. She took her time helping us decide what cut should be best for him. She was patient with him and with her help her did great and love his hair cut! She also gave my fiance exactly what he wanted and it looks great too!

    Absolutely, the best place I have been too for a mens haircut. I have had my haircut by 2 different stylists and the outcome the same...An amazing haircut from Jade, Kaitlyn I highly recommend this place and the price is no different then a great clips but the quality surpasses them all by far. I would definitely recommend tipping higher then your average place because the haircuts are alot cheaper then what they should be charging.

    Miranda took great care of me! I’m a male with long thick hair and I am very particular with whom I allow to cut it and Miranda was very focused and took her time to make sure I was comfortable with the cut and even suggested a touch up on tweak on my highlights.     The ladies in here are astounding at the work they do ! I typically get my hair cut by Madison or Lindsay are both are superb ! I’ve had several haircuts messed up before by other establishments and I continue to come here solely because of how well I’ve been taken care of ! Consistency and loyalty are two big things for me and this shop has it all !

The staff is always friendly, and the online portal to schedule an appointment (even in short notice).I like how they offer a bottle of water or beer as I wait and there is always music of some sort playing.     UPDATE 3/24/2024I still cant book without calling in, which is really inconvenient for myself and for the stylists there who have to interrupt service to their customers to take my appointment call. I dont understand how this could make sense for anyone. If this were fixed Id definitely rate five stars.--Cuts are generally very good. Lana is our go-to, but most anyone seems capable of providing a good cut. Prices are reasonable. We seldom have issues with the cuts themselves or the level of service of each stylist. Overall I recommend, but I think there is some housekeeping to be done regarding the menu and online appointment booking.

    Hair Mechanix at Beach Blvd does a stellar job of providing friendly service and quality haircuts. Ive been going here primarily for hair and beard care for at least four years now. Youre greeted quickly after entering and they offer up something to drink while you wait.Their barbers do a great job of making notes from prior haircuts and explaining what different barber jargon means, for those who dont speak in those technical terms.Overall, I am not surprised to see this is a growing franchise from the high-quality beard/hair care they offer. I highly recommend you consider making someone from Hair Mechanix your go-to barber. Ill be coming back quite soon!

    Lindsey cut my hair, she is a master of her craft!I’ve been to so many places and have had my haircut, only to find hair that was missed, it grew out unevenly and was completely disappointing.Lindsey changed my entire experience and restored my faith in a persons ability to not just cut hair but craft it.By looking at my hair, she knew exactly how my hair grew, she knew the best way to style my hair, she cut my hair perfectly.I won’t go anywhere else ever again!Thank you Lindsey, I’m grateful for this place and I have no doubt that the other barbers here carry a similar level of professionalism and attention to detail.If you’ve not gotten your first haircut for 2023, this is the best place to go to have a great experience and a wonderful haircut, to start off this year in the best of ways and any other time you need your haircut.

    I had an awesome experience at Hair Mechanix. I haven’t gotten a haircut in over a year so needless to say I was well over due.I did not make an appointment but was able to get in very quickly. I was paired with Cali as my stylist and she was awesome. She was professional, kind and courteous. She was also very patient as I did not know exactly what I wanted to do with my hair since it has been so long lol. The atmosphere is cool and there are plenty of TVs to watch whatever you please.     First.., My mom was a Cosmetologist. I have pretty high standards on a cut.This place is Great! Wonderful atmosphere and genuinely happy ladies there.Jennifer was awesome!     I visited back when they opened up and was a regular customer. I moved away and havent been able to get back for a haircut for about a year. The service and customer experience was amazing in the beginning and has only gotten better over time. I have never had a bad haircut and today was no exception. I was greeted in a warm manner the moment I opened the door, signed in and selected first available barber. I was offered a beverage and enjoyed the large screen TV for a very short five minutes. After being called back, the stylist reviewed what I had done a year ago. Amazing. After my haircut, the young lady checked to see if I was satisfied. The staff here do not give hit or miss service. I was back on the road in no time. Hair Mechanic is worth the effort to plan on taking the drive down to Jax for my future haircuts. Well done.

    Best haircutting business Ive ever been to. Its like going to see a movie and the theater has the nice recliners. You dont want to go to another movie theater that doesnt have them. Thats how I feel after going here (this was my second time). Great haircut, really nice staff, and the whole look/setup of the business is top notch. I had the privilege of getting my haircut by the owner. She was awesome, thats all I can say. Im not usually one to go out and write reviews but I had to for this business.     Been here twice and both times have been at least a 5 star experience. A beer when you walk in, little to no wait (call ahead first though) and TVs in front of every chair. They ask very specific questions to get your cut just right. And if you’ve never had a straight razor shave, this is the place to do it. You get a hot towel facial with it which is amaze, and if they offer a scalp massage you better say yes. Everything was worth every penny. Will definitely be back.

    I dont drink alcohol, but I still think its great they offer a beer or water while you wait. I just wish theyd offer dr pepper.That being said, their customer service is the best.     Lexi always does an amazing job on my sons hair cuts! We are always trying new styles with my boy and they always come out stunning!     Unlike the modern hair salon this shop is designed to suit men. A garage theme welcomes you upon entry, the staff is good, I recommend setting a appointment because they are a busy location. I have had my hair cut by several ladies and all did an excellent job not just on my hair but my two boys hair as well.     I’ve been going to Hair Mechanix for over 3 years since moving to Jacksonville from Atlanta. The first barber to cut and trim my beard was Jenn. Jenn is a true craftsman, professional and never ever disappoints. I will only go to her, she’s down to earth and personable. I even drive 45 mins every three weeks to cut by her.     I moved to Jax in 2013. The biggest challenge I had was finding a place to get my hair cut the way I liked it. After getting cuts from several other places (one place made me look like a serial killer) and being extremely unsatisfied, I have finally found a place I can trust and rely on to make me look and feel my best. Christina and her crew are absolutely fantastic! Not only do they greet you with a smile and a friendly hello they also offer you a beer as soon as you walk in. You also get your own tv to watch anything you like while they are working their magic on your melon. What else could a guy want!?! Do yourself a favor and go check them out.
